I’ve had a passion for travel for as long as I can remember, which led me to study travel and tourism at both college and university. Since then, I’ve spent the past three years working in the industry and continuing to explore more of the world.
Australia has to be my favourite destination it was on my bucket list for years, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit a few times. Some of my standout moments include climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was absolutely spectacular, and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef off Lady Elliot Island. Swimming alongside green sea turtles and manta rays was an unforgettable experience, and seeing koalas and kangaroos in the wild made it even more special. I’ve also travelled to Canada a few times, with highlights including taking the VIA Rail train through the Canadian Rockies, as well as visiting Toronto and Niagara Falls. Another dream trip was New York City, somewhere I’d always wanted to go. Seeing a Broadway show and heading up to Top of the Rock for those incredible skyline views were definite highlights. I then continued through New York State by Amtrak, even getting to see Niagara Falls from the USA side, which was a great way to experience it from a different perspective.
I’m a big fan of solo travel and the freedom it brings. Being able to explore at your own pace, decide where to eat, and shape your trip exactly how you want it is something I really value. I always encourage people to try a solo trip, even if it’s just a short getaway.
