Kalaw

Kalaw is a Hill Station within close proximity to Inle Lake, founded by the British to escape the summer heat from the plains below. Tree lined cool streets still sport a few of the colonial buildings from this period. Kalaw is a gateway for trekking in the nearby hills and offers access to the Pindaya Caves and some local wineries.
