This famous upcountry town is situated 1868 meters (6128 feet) above sea level, due to its high altitude it has a Sub Tropical Highland climate. It was a favoured retreat for the British colonials who built golf courses, gentlemen’s clubs and mock-Tudor buildings.
Train from Kandy
Often referred to as “Little England” the town still retains its colonial feel, why not stay in one of the towns colonial style hotels and soak up some of the towns bygone heritage?
