Day 8 - New York City to Philadelphia
Travelling from New York to Philadelphia by train is a fast, comfortable and scenic way to journey between the two historic East Coast cities. Departing from the bustling heart of Manhattan at Penn Station, the train glides out past the city’s iconic skyline before following the Northeast Corridor south. The scenery quickly shifts from urban landscapes to glimpses of rivers, leafy neighbourhoods and the industrial heritage that shaped this region of the United States.
As you approach Philadelphia, the skyline comes into view, including the distinctive silhouettes of City Hall and the modern towers of Centre City. The train arrives directly into William H. Gray III 30th Street Station, a grand, art-deco landmark just minutes from the city’s historic districts and vibrant neighbourhoods.
