Day 1 - Auckalnd

Arrive in Auckland, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure

Day 2 - Auckland

In the morning take an including city tour, to get a better insight and orientation of the city, spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 - Bay of Islands

Collect your car hire and head North to the Bay of Islands, the journey takes between 3 and 4 hours depending on stops. The route takes you through rolling green farmland, native bush, and coastal stretches. You’ll see everything from rural pastures with sheep and cattle to subtropical forests and river valleys.

Day 4 - Bay of Islands

Bay of Islands Day Cruise Set sail through the Bay’s sparkling islands and along the Cape Brett Peninsula. Marvel at the historic Cape Brett Lighthouse and the dramatic Hole in the Rock, with the chance of a lucky drip as you cruise beneath it.

Keep watch for dolphins and other marine life before stopping at Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Island. Relax on the beach, enjoy the views from the hilltops, or take a walk on one of the scenic trails. If you’re on the morning departure, you can extend your island time for free and return on the afternoon cruise.

Day 5 - Auckland

Spend a leisurely day returning to Auckland, perhaps stop off at Whangārei Falls, where there is a short, easy walk to a picturesque waterfall., or Waipu, a lovely small town with Scottish heritage.

Day 6 - Auckland to Rotorua

Continue to the Geo-Thermic and Māori cultural centre of Rotorua, on the way stop off for a tour and lunch at the famous Hobbiton movie set.

Day 7 - Rotorua

Spend the day unwinding with a thermal bathing experience at the Polynesian Spa, then in the evening immerse yourself in Māori culture with a traditional dining experience at Te-Pā-Tū.

Day 8 - Rotorua to Christchurch

Take the short domestic flight from Rotorua to Christchurch

Day 9 - Twizel

Drive to the pretty mountain town of Twizel just after the southern end of Lake Pukaki, Twizel is on the doorstep of Mount Cook National Park.

Day 10 - Heli Hike

A day of adventure with a Tasman Glacier Heli Hike From Mount Cook, take a breathtaking helicopter flight over the Southern Alps before landing on the Tasman Glacier. Join expert guides for a two-hour hike across ice caves, crevasses and dramatic glacier formations – with all equipment provided. A truly unforgettable alpine adventure.

Day 11 - Queenstown

Continue Southwards to Queenstown, in the heart of the Southern Alps. Queenstown, is a breathtaking alpine resort town nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, renowned for its adventure sports, stunning mountain scenery, and vibrant year-round atmosphere.

Day 12 - Milford Sound

Discover Milford Sound on a small-group tour from Queenstown, travelling in comfort through stunning landscapes with scenic stops and a cruise on the fjord. End the day in style with a breathtaking 40-minute scenic flight back over the mountains and fjords, a truly unforgettable perspective.

Day 13 - Queenstown

Today we have included a scenic gondola ride and sumptuous buffet-style lunch at Stratosfare Restaurant, serving iconic New Zealand dishes infused with international flair.

Day 14 - Blanket Bay

The last stop on this road trip is Blanket Bay Luxury Lodge, nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu near Queenstown, it offers world-class comfort surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery. Combining refined elegance with warm Kiwi hospitality, it’s the perfect retreat for relaxation and adventure.

Day 15 - Blanket Bay

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Blanket Bay.

Day 16 - Homeward bound

Head back to Queenstown, drop off your rental vehicle and catch your onward flight.
