Get caught up in an enchanting winter escapade exploring the vibrant city of Ottawa during the annual Winterlude festival. During the first three weeks of February, Ottawa turns into a winter wonderland as everyone celebrates Winterlude! Enjoy ice skating on the Rideau Canal, viewing the spectacular ice sculptures and exploring the local markets. To heat up in the winter chill enjoy the famous Beaver Tails pastries with a hot chocolate. Winterlude Festival is a true Canadian winter experience and is a must do when visiting eastern Canada!

Day 2 - Winter in Ottawa

Ottawa is the capital of Canada situated in Ontario near the border of Quebec, rich in heritage Ottawa is home to a variety of heritage sites and famous landmarks including the Rideau Canal. During the winter months the Rideau Canal freezes over and becomes the world’s largest naturally frozen ice rink! Open in January and February depending on the weather the rink is free to skate on and ice skates can be booked locally.

Day 3 - Winterlude Festival

Experience the best of winter in Canada at Ottawa’s Winterlude Festival. The festival takes place annually in the first three weeks of February, there is something for everyone to enjoy from family friendly adventures, group adventures and date nights!

Day 4 - Explore Ottawa

Ottawa has lots to offer why not ask your consultant to book you an excursion! Ottawa is home to a range of museums and galleries including Canadian Museum of History featuring 218,000 artefacts from 200,000 years of history, Canadian Museum of Nature where you can learn about the natural history of Canada or enjoy a walking tour through Byward Ottawa’s most famous neighbourhood tasting a variety of local cuisines including the famous Beaver Tails!
