Day 1 - Santiago
On arrival at Santiago airport, guests are met and transferred to their hotel. In the afternoon, a guided tour takes in the historic centre around Plaza de Armas, including the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office and City Hall, before continuing to La Moneda Palace, the seat of the Chilean government. The tour also covers the Lastarria district, known for its restaurants and galleries, Forestal Park, and the bohemian Bellavista neighbourhood. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day 2 - Santiago to Viña del Mar to Valparaíso to Santiago
A day trip to the Pacific coast, around an hour and a half from Santiago. The route passes through the Casablanca Valley, known for its vineyards, where a wine tasting can be arranged for private groups. First stop is Viña del Mar, known as the Garden City for its parks, beaches and the well known Flower Clock. From there, continue to Valparaíso, a UNESCO listed port city built across steep hills, with colourful houses, street art and funiculars. The visit includes La Sebastiana, one of the former homes of the poet Pablo Neruda, with views over the bay. Return to Santiago in the afternoon.
Day 3 - Santiago to Calama to San Pedro de Atacama
A flight to Calama, followed by a road transfer to San Pedro de Atacama through the Domeyko mountains and the Cordillera de la Sal. In the late afternoon, visit Moon Valley and Death Valley in the heart of the Atacama Desert, the driest in the world. Moon Valley's dunes and rock formations are shaped by wind and salt, while Death Valley's red rock is a well known sunset spot as the light changes over the Andes.
Day 4 - San Pedro de Atacama
A day exploring the Altiplano, rising above 4,000 metres to the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, home to flamingos and surrounded by volcanoes. The tour continues to Socaire, a small Atacameño village known for its stone architecture and old agricultural terraces, then to the Atacama Salt Flat, a protected wetland with its own flamingo population. The day finishes in Toconao, a colonial village built from volcanic stone, before lunch at a local restaurant and the return to San Pedro de Atacama.
Day 5 - San Pedro de Atacama to Calama to Santiago
An early start for the El Tatio Geysers, one of the highest geothermal fields in the world at over 4,300 metres, best seen at dawn when the steam rises against the cold air. Breakfast is served outdoors near the geysers, followed by a short walk where vicuñas can often be seen. A stop at the Machuca wetland on the way back gives a further chance to spot flamingos, ducks and llamas, before the afternoon flight from Calama back to Santiago.
Day 6 - Santiago to Puerto Natales
Flight to Puerto Natales, with a reception on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 7 - Puerto Natales
An early departure by boat through the Última Esperanza Fjord and the Señoret Channel towards Mount Balmaceda and its glacier, passing mountains, waterfalls, farmland and Patagonian birdlife along the way. On arrival, a walk through native coihue and ñirre forest leads close to the Balmaceda Glacier, before continuing on to the Serrano Glacier. The day includes a stop at Estancia Perales for a drink served with glacial ice, followed by lunch, then a return to Puerto Natales in the late afternoon.
Day 8 - Torres del Paine
A full day exploring Torres del Paine National Park, known worldwide for its granite peaks and glacial lakes. The route takes in Milodón Cave, around 27 kilometres from Puerto Natales, followed by Cerro Castillo, a historic estancia connected to the early days of settlement in the region. After lunch inside the park, the tour continues to Lake Grey and Grey Glacier, part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, with a walk through native lenga forest. Return to Puerto Natales in the evening.
Day 9 - Santiago
Transfer to Puerto Natales airport for the flight to Santiago, with a welcome and transfer to the hotel on arrival.
