Discover Whistler & the Rockies

Day 1 - Calgary to Banff (115 km/72 mi)

Take the short (2-hour) drive from Calgary to Banff on either the Trans- Canada Highway or the more scenic 1A Highway. Once in Banff proceed to your selected hotel to check in and the remainder of the day is yours to explore at your own leisure.

Day 2 - Banff Exploring (Banff Gondola)

A full day to explore Banff and area. In town you'll find lots of excitement - shopping, cafes, nightlife, museums. Take a ride on Banff Gondola (included) where you will see a panoramic view of the Bow Valley, and then take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the Upper Hot Springs (not included).

Day 3 - Banff to Lake Louise (62km / 38mls)

Today we suggest taking the scenic Bow Valley Parkway route which runs parallel to the Trans-Canada highway. Be sure to stop at Johnston Canyon and walk along the paved footpath to either the lower or upper waterfalls.  We recommend booking an afternoon tea at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 4 - Lake Louise to Jasper (208 km/129 mi)

We recommend that you leave Lake Louise after breakfast and allow yourself the full day to take this journey as you will want to stop off numerous times throughout the day to take in the scenery. Travel through the spine of the Canadian Rockies along the amazing Icefields Parkway and encompass the ultimate glacier exploration. From walking on ancient ice with the Ice Explorer ride, to standing on a glass platform almost one thousand feet in the air at the Glacier Skywalk (included), today’s experiences will leave you with a special appreciation for this treasured region of the Rockies. 

Day 5 - Jasper Exploring

Explore this charming mountain village close to many terrific scenic highlights. Take a tram ride up Whistlers mountain, or visit Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world, and enjoy a 90 minute cruise heading toward the south end of this postcard setting (Maligne Lake cruise included).

Day 6 - Jasper to Sun Peaks (444 km/277 mi)

Leaving Jasper National Park, travel the 'Yellowhead' route past the sprawling grandeur of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Beyond Mount Robson Provincial Park, the highway follows the Thompson River through the snowy peaks of the Monashee and Caribou Mountains to the resort village of Sun Peaks where you will enjoy a night's stay.

Day 7 - Explore Sun Peaks

From festivals and events, exploring the mountain by horseback, Segway and mountain bike, golfing, and spa treatments, to North America’s first Mountain Cross Carts… you’ll never run out of things to do.

Day 8 - Sun Peaks to Whistler (293 km/183 mi)

Begin the day travelling along Logan Lake route to the gold rush town of Cache Creek, where you stop to visit the historic Hat Creek Ranch (included), which literally takes you back to the days of the gold rush. Continue the journey south to Lillooet, known as the land of the Gold Rush Trail and was 'Mile Zero' of the Old Caribou Wagon Road during the Gold Rush Years. Now the area is home to the largest Canadian producers of the medicinal plant, ginseng. Departing Lillooet travel the Duffey Lake Road to Whistler.

Day 9 - Whistler Exploring with Peak to Peak Gondola Ride

This charming alpine resort is nestled between world-renowned Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Enjoy an extensive range of summer activities from golf on one of the 4 championship designer golf courses, water activities on any of the 5 lakes or numerous rivers, to mountain top dining or just relax and enjoy some of the many fine cafe's and restaurants in this European inspired alpine village. Experience the beauty of Whistler Blackcomb's alpine environment via the Cloudraker Sky Bridge on Whistler Mountain. Take the Whistler Gondola to Whistler Mountain's sub-alpine and then rise to over 7,000 feet via Whistler's premier open chair lift. At the top of the Peak Chair, guests will be treated to unbelievable views of glaciers, extinct volcanoes, snow-capped peaks and more. Gondola dates of operation: May - Sep, Summer dates are subject to change due to factors such as weather and snow pack, if Gondola is not operating a refund will be issued.

Day 10 - Whistler

Today is at your leisure to relax, visit Lost Lake, take an excursion or indulge in some of the activities on offer in Whistler.

Day 11 - Whistler to Vancouver (122 km/76 mi)

Depart Whistler at your own leisure along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Vancouver. Highlights along the way include the cascading Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief Rock where climbers from all over the globe migrate to climb the granite cliffs. Arrive into Vancouver for your 2-night stay and drop off your hire car at the downtown location.

Day 12 - Sightsee Vancouver

Today you can sightee this vibrant city at your leisure with you Vancouver Hop on Hop off Sightseeing pass.  

Explore Vancouver onboard clear-top buses and San Francisco-style Trolleys. This flexible Dual Pass combination of the CITY and PARK Routes offers all the highlights of downtown Vancouver, including major attractions, and scenic points of interest. Choose to Hop-Off at any of the 29 stops, and Hop-On again to continue the tour.

Morning at leisure before your afternoon taxi transfer (not included) to Vancouver Airport for your overnight flight to the UK.
