Vancouver, Victoria & Whistler Escapade

Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver

Arrive in Vancouver, transfer to your chosen hotel and spent the rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 2 - Vancouver

Enjoy some sightseeing in Vancouver with the Vancouver City Highlights tour with Lookout & Capilano Suspension Bridge which we have included for you. Tour Starts 10am   Duration 6.5 hours

This tour is the perfect blend of city and nature. Explore the urban elements of downtown Vancouver and immerse yourself in the wilderness of Vancouver's rugged North Shore with this 6.5 hour, fully narrated tour. Combine the highlights of downtown Vancouver with a stop at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Journey through the various distinct cultural areas of Vancouver, including Chinatown and Gastown, the charming Vancouver Harbour, and scenic, ocean-side English Bay. Step off the bus in Stanley Park to visit the Totem Poles, as well as Prospect Point for an impressive look at the Lions Gate Bridge. Explore the renowned Public Market and artisan stores at Granville Island and take in the jaw-dropping 360-degree view of the city and beyond from Vancouver Lookout Tower Observation Deck.  

Day 3 - Explore Vancouver

Today is at your leisure to sightseeing and explore Vancouver. We recommend taking a water taxi to Granville Island and spend the afternoon there before meeting nearby at 4.30pm for your Bowen Island Dinner and Zodiac tour. Cruise to Bowen Island in style on a 30 foot Rigid-hulled zodiac. The best choice for a Vancouver dinner cruise. We head to the island for dinner at Doc Morgan's Restaurant or Rustique Restaurant and invite you to stroll through the shops before we jump back in the boat to do more exploring. You will have a chance to see: Stanley Park, the Seal Colony, Lighthouse Park, offshore freighters and much more. Your tour includes your dinner and one drink. This tour departs from Granville Island. Survival suit and life jacket are provided.

Day 4 - Vancouver to Victoria

Depart Vancouver this morning via a coach and scenic ferry ride to Vancouver Island. En-route enjoy a tour of the world famous Butchart Gardens before arriving in Victoria later in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Victoria Foodie tour and exploring

Today you have a downtown Victoria food and walking tour included. Explore Victoria's history and culinary scene on this walking tour of the British Columbian city. Follow a guide to highlights such as the Parliament Buildings, the Inner Harbor Causeway, Trounce Alley, Bastion and Market squares, Fan Tan Alley, the Harmonious Gates of Interest, and the Victoria Public Market. Along the way enjoy BC wine tasting, sweet and savory pastries, a Korean corn dog, charcuterie, Middle Eastern cuisine, locally made truffles, and macarons. Please note dishes may change due to availability. Remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 6 - Victoria Whale Watching

Today embark on a morning Whale Watch cruise from Victoria Harbour. Spend the afternoon at leisure in charming Victoria taking a stroll around the picturesque Inner Harbour and nearby Beacon Hill park.

Day 7 - Victoria to Whistler

Induldge in a float plane transfer from Victoria Harbour to the mountains of Whistler, combining the best elements of a scenic flight and transfer. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in mountainous Whistler.

Day 8 - Peak 2 Peak Gondola

Today will be one of the many highlights of your trip - Peak 2 Peak Gondola ride. We recommend having breakfast then heading off to Blackcomb mountain to take the gondola up, therefore allowing yourself time to spend the best part of the full day up in the mountains.

The record-breaking Peak 2 Peak Gondola links Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains. A feat of engineering, the gondola boasts the longest unsupported lift span in the world (3.024 kms/1.88 miles). It is also the highest lift of its kind with an elevation of 436 metres (1,427 ft). Sightseeing on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola is a must do while in Whistler.

The ticket allows you to visit Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains in one day, on the way receiving a stunning 360-degree bird's eye view of Whistler Village, the forest and spectacular mountain peaks, valleys, lakes and glaciers. A special glass-bottom gondola provides another unique perspective of the forest.

At the top of Whistler Mountain try the Cloudraker Skybridge which is 427 ft (130 meters) long and at the peak of Whistler Mountain, at an elevation of about 7,200 ft above sea level. This bridge is one of the highest elevation suspension bridges in the world.

Check out one of the mountain restaurants, dine with fabulous vistas of the coastal mountain ranges and Whistler Valley below. 

Day 9 - Whistler Bear Viewing

Today we have included a Whistler Bear Viewing excursion. We have various departure times for this excursion please ask your Canada Experts for options.

From the comfort of a 4x4 vehicle experience the Whistler Olympic Park like it's your own private oasis as you explore the 2010 Legacy Trail network. Immerse yourself in a pristine, intact ecosystem in which mother bears, cubs, and males searching for mates, roam freely and untagged, providing spectacular viewing and photography opportunities. You'll be amazed by the Olympic rings, biathlon, and training facilities, all in the heart of where our resident black bear population eats, sleep, mate and raise their young. Travel in comfort in a 4x4 vehicle to private lakes, lookouts, waterfalls, bear dens, tracks and tree markings.

Highlights: Tracking and observing wild black bears, photo opportunity at Alexander waterfalls, photo opportunity of Black Tusk Mountain, behind the scenes tour of Whistler Olympic Park, stops at top of ski jumps, biathlon target range, 2010 Olympic iconic Inukshuk statue, admission to Whistler Olympic Park included.

Day 10 - Whistler

Today is yours to spend at your leisure, relax at one of the lakes, indulge in some of the many activities on offer or even add on a tour.

Day 11 - Return to the UK

Coach transfer (included) from Whistler back to Vancouver Airport to board your homeward flight.
