Canada's West & East Tour

Day 1 - Fly UK to Calgary

Fly from your preferred UK airport to Calgary. On arrival, transfer  to your Banff Hotel for a 3 night stay.

Day 2 - Discover Banff & its Wildlife with Gondola ride

Duration 5.5 hours

Build a connection to our World Heritage Site as you visit Banff's landmarks and view wildlife in their natural winter habitat. Hear how the history of the Bow Valley changed when three railway workers rediscovered a hidden treasure. See and learn about wildlife behaviour, habitat, and their winter survival adaptations. This is Banff's best tour for viewing wildlife which are seen on 95% of the tours.

At the end we have included a Gondola ride up Sulphure Mountain.

Day 3 - Banff

Day at leisure to enjoy Banff National Park. Alternatively speak to one of our Canada Experts who will be happy to recommend excursions for you.

Day 4 - Banff to Jasper including Ice Explorer Ride

Discover Canada’s most scenic mountain roadway; The Icefields Parkway. This is the route to over one hundred visible glaciers, turquoise lakes, and rushing waterfalls. Venture onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier in a specially designed Ice Explorer for a spectacular Ice Age adventure. Experience Jasper National Park’s newest attraction, the Glacier Skywalk. Step out onto a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres out over the Sunwapta Valley for an unobstructed view of the surrounding glaciers.

Highlights: Lake Louise, Icefields Parkway, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Columbia Icefield, Athabasca Falls, Glacier Adventure and Skywalk admission and hot buffet lunch at Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre.

Day 5 - Maligne Lake & Guided Walk

This morning we have include the popular Maligne Lake & Guided Walk tour. Duration: 5-6 hours This amazing tour is a guided interpretive drive up the Maligne Valley. Our exploration will include a stop at Maligne Canyon for a gentle guided walk to the first two bridges above the gorge, a short stop at the "disappearing" Medicine Lake, and finally Maligne Lake. At this picturesque gem of the Canadian Rockies enjoy a guided walk along the Mary Schaffer Loop (3.2km return). ** Please note should you prefer not to partake in the guided walk you can pay to go on the Maligne Lake cruise **

Day 6 - Jasper to Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer

All aboard! Today you join Rocky Mountaineer for a breathtaking rail journey through the Rockies!

Travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.

Overnight in Kamloops - hotel provided and selected by Rocky Mountaineer. Breakfast and Lunch included.

Day 7 - Kamloops to Vancouver - Rocky Mountaineer

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Day 8 - Vancouver City Highlights Tour

This morning we have included a 3.5 hour Vancouver City Highlights tour. Prepare to experience the unique history and unfolding splendour as you tour through the modern streets of Vancouver. Drive by the most renowned sights and learn how Vancouver became the city it is today. Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and framed by British Columbia's imposing mountains, it's easy to fall in love with this astonishing city. Drive through historic neighbourhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, scenic English Bay and the picturesque Vancouver Harbour. Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples' Totem Poles, spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge. Also includes the opportunity to wander through the charming farmer's market at Granville Island. Reminder of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 9 - Victoria & Butchart Gardens

View the spectacular British Columbia coastline by land and ship, followed by a stop at Butchart Gardens en route to the British inspired city of Victoria. Board a BC Ferries vessel at Tsawwassen terminal for a 90-minute sail through the serene beauty of the Gulf Islands. Marine wildlife sightings from the outdoor ship decks are common, especially eagles, sea lions and whales. Arrive on Vancouver Island and continue to the Butchart Gardens. The city of Victoria boasts many impressive architectural wonders, including the iconic Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Visit the unique shops and cafes of Government Street and Chinatown. Stroll along the Inner Harbour for prime ocean views, and enjoy some free time to take in the city. Return on the bus to Vancouver by ferry to conclude this diverse tour.

Day 10 - Fly Vancouver to Toronto

Check out of your Vancouver hotel and transfer to Vancouver airport for your flight to Toronto, where you will enjoy a 3 night stay.

Day 11 - Toronto

Today you have entry to the iconic CN Tower for a birds eye view of the city and harbourfront. We highly recommend you take a short 10 minute water taxi ride from the harbourfront over to Centreville Island for a stroll/bicycle ride and take in the breathtaking views over to the city, this is the perfect place to relax on a beach away from the hustle and bustle then enjoy the beautiful sunset before returning. The Distillery district and it's quirky shops are well worth a visit. Alternatively if you want to indulge in some retail therapy you have the nearby Eaton Centre Mall or you can take a ride on public transport to Yorkdale Mall for more highend retailers.

Day 12 - Niagara Falls Tour

Duration: 10.5 hours

Travel on our air-conditioned motor coach for a breathtaking, full-day tour through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world.

Tour includes: - Free time in Niagara Falls - Lunch overlooking Niagara Falls - Niagara City Cruise or Journey Behind the Falls*  

*Niagara City Cruise operates May through October, weather permitting. Journey Behind the Falls will be substituted from October to May.

Day 13 - Fly Toronto to UK

Check out of your hotel and make your way to Toronto Airport.
