Day 1 - Fly to Victoria

Arrive in Victoria Airport amd transfer to your chosen hotel.

From Victoria’s Inner Harbour, we take you to the Butchart Gardens. 22 Hectares (55 acres) of breath-taking gardens on the 53 hectare (130 acre) estate are visited by more than a million people each year. The gardens are glorious any time of year. Once at the gardens stroll through the floral splendour which greets you at every turn. Return to downtown Victoria on a shuttle convenient for you.

Day 3 - Explore Victoria

This coastal excursion is an exhilarating round trip of 50 to 80 kilometres in search of Orcas, minke whales, grey whales, porpoises, harbourseals and other marine wildlife. You will ride aboard a comfortable covered vessel or a custom-built zodiac boat that offers high speed with extraordinary stability giving you an exhilarating, safe and intimate whale watching experience. Comments by a certified marine biologist and naturalist are provided.

Day 4 - Victoria to Vancouver

Today depart Victoria and head over to Vancouver by coach and ferry for a 2 night stay.

Day 5 - Vancouver City Highlights

This morning we have included a 3.5 hour Vancouver City Highlights tour. Prepare to experience the unique history and unfolding splendour as you tour through the modern streets of Vancouver. Drive by the most renowned sights and learn how Vancouver became the city it is today. Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and framed by British Columbia's imposing mountains, it's easy to fall in love with this astonishing city. Drive through historic neighbourhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, scenic English Bay and the picturesque Vancouver Harbour. Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples' Totem Poles, spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge. Also includes the opportunity to wander through the charming farmer's market at Granville Island. Reminder of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 6 - Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver to Kamloops

Travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops.

Day 7 - Rocky Mountaineer Kamloops to Jasper

Your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will be surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo mountains, climbing ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Your rail journey ends on arrival in the resort town of Jasper this evening.

Day 8 - Jasper Wildlife Tour

Morning at leisure in Jasper today. Before your evening wildlife tour.

If you want to see wildlife when visiting the Rockies your best opportunity is in Jasper! The area the town occupies is the largest inhabitable valley in the Canadian Rockies, which means more food for “All Creatures Great and Small”. Put on your safari hat as you set out into the Park with your own Wildlife Interpreter in search of Bear, Elk, Sheep, Goats, Coyote, Wolves, Moose and many of Mother Nature’s other mountain creatures. This three hour tour is the perfect chance to enjoy spectacular scenery and learn more about Jasper’s original inhabitants. Don’t forget your camera!

Day 9 - Explore Jasper

Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Jasper. Why not add on one of our Jasper experiences including Maligne Lake cruise or a downtown foodie tour. 

Day 10 - Jasper to Banff

Travel the spectacular Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Banff, passing glaciers, waterfalls, and turquoise lakes. Enjoy stops at Athabasca Falls, the Weeping Wall, Bow Lake, and Crowfoot Glacier. Along the way, your guide shares fascinating stories and insights into the region's geography and history, making this one-way journey a highlight of your Rocky Mountain adventure.

Highlights: Columbia Icefields Glacier Adventure and Skywalk, Icefields Parkway, Bow River, Peyto Lake (subject to lake access), or Waterfowl Lake

Arriving into Banff in the evening, spending the remainder of your day at leisure. 

Day 11 - Discover Banff & its Wildlife & Gondola

Today we have included a tour of Banff to show you it's highlights along with a trip on the Banff Gondola. 

Ride the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for unparalleled views of Banff, the Bow Valley, and surrounding peaks. Explore the interpretive summit trails, learn about local wildlife and geology through hands-on tools, and capture memorable photos. Day 12 - Discover Lake Louise & Moraine Lake

Experience Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, two of the Rockies' most iconic alpine lakes and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, on a guided sightseeing tour. Walk along Lake Louise's shoreline to admire turquoise waters, Victoria Glacier, and the Fairmont Chateau, then continue to Moraine Lake for a short Rockpile walk to see the Valley of the Ten Peaks. With early guaranteed access, avoid the crowds and parking restrictions. Your professional guide shares stories of early mountaineers and natural history, enhanced with hands-on interpretive tools for a memorable Rockies adventure.
